The Snapchat photo downloader helps you save pictures from public Stories and Highlights. Enter a username or paste the public link, open the collection and choose the photo you want. You can check its larger preview before downloading, so you do not have to save every item to find the right picture.
A collection can show photos beside videos. Look for the Image label to find a photo rather than a video's cover. The result also shows an image count and any known pixel dimensions, which can help you decide whether the picture is large enough for your intended use.
This page does not open private Snaps, chats, Memories or camera-roll photos. It only works with images available from a supported public link or Profile. A valid public Profile can therefore produce an empty photo result when no public image is currently available.
How to download Snapchat photos
Use a public Story or Highlight link to download a photo shown on the web. Saving your own Snap, a chat picture or a Memory uses Snapchat's own saving controls instead. If you only know a public username or Profile URL, enter it here and open the collection containing the photo you want.
The browser handles the actual file save. On a phone, the image may first appear in the browser's Downloads area or Files app rather than directly in the camera roll. You can move it to Photos or Gallery afterward if your device requires that step.

- Which Snapchat links can I use?
- Enter a public username, Profile URL, supported share link, Highlight link or Spotlight link. Some publisher Story links containing /p/ are also supported. Results may include public videos, photos and profile pictures, depending on what Snapchat currently makes available.
- Do I need to sign in to Snapchat?
- No. The tool works with public data and does not ask for Snapchat account credentials. It cannot use this access to open private content.
- Can it recover private, deleted or expired media?
- No. If an item is not publicly available, the tool cannot recover it. Private, removed and expired media remains unavailable.
- Does the tool change quality or remove watermarks?
- The tool does not add or remove watermarks, sharpen photos or increase video resolution. Existing marks remain. Most files download directly; some supported videos are first prepared as an MP4 in your browser. Preparing an MP4 does not create a higher-quality version.
- How do multiple downloads work?
- Selected items are saved as separate files, not a ZIP. Your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads. Videos that need preparation use temporary browser memory before saving; the site does not keep a hosted media archive. Check your browser's download list for saved files.
- May I reuse the downloaded media?
- Only when you have permission and a lawful reason to do so. Public availability does not transfer ownership or reuse rights.
- Is a Snapchat photo the same as a Profile picture?
- No. A photo item belongs to a Story or Highlight; a profile picture is the avatar beside the Profile name. Use Profile Picture Downloader for that avatar. A wide Profile banner and a video's still cover are different images, not alternative names for a photo post.
- Can the tool improve a small image?
- No. It keeps the available image as it is and does not upscale or enhance it.
- Will a downloaded Snapchat photo go straight to my camera roll?
- Not always. The browser decides where the file is saved. Mobile browsers commonly place it in Downloads or Files first, while desktop browsers commonly use the Downloads folder. You can then save or move the image into your photo library.
- Can I save photos from a private Snap, chat or Memories?
- No. Those items require access inside the Snapchat account or conversation. This tool accepts public links and usernames only and cannot bypass privacy controls or retrieve private account storage.
- Why do I see a thumbnail but no photo download?
- The still image on a video card may only be its cover, while a Highlight card represents a collection. Open the collection and look for an item labeled Image. The current tool does not offer a separate video-thumbnail download. For a Profile avatar use Profile Picture Downloader; other available Profile images have their own labeled actions in the Profile result.
Image format, dimensions and mixed collections
Image items currently carry a JPG label in the results. That label is not a format-conversion option: the downloader saves the image Snapchat provides without changing it. If you need to confirm its actual format or size, check the saved file's details on your device. Known dimensions appear as width by height in pixels. For example, 1080 × 1920 describes a portrait image; missing dimensions do not automatically mean the photo is small or broken.
Stories and Highlights can mix photos with videos. You can select only the image items, or use the Story or Highlight downloader when you want both media types together. Multiple selected photos are still delivered as separate browser downloads. This avoids a ZIP archive on mobile, but the browser may ask for permission before starting more than one file.
