View a public Profile and its available media

The Snapchat viewer shows public Profile details and available media on one page. Depending on the username or link, you may see a Profile, current Story, saved Highlights, Spotlight posts and Profile images. Each area stays separate, so you can tell whether a shared link points to a Story, Highlight or Spotlight post.

You can look up public content without signing in to Snapchat or connecting an account. Enter a username to check a Profile, or paste a shared link to open the post or collection it points to. This does not give access to private Profiles, chats, Memories, friend lists or account analytics.

Not sure what someone shared with you? Paste the link and check the result. A Story contains current posts, a Highlight is a saved collection and Spotlight contains short videos. A Profile can have one of these without the others. The Profile name and media previews help you check that you found the right content before opening it.

How to use the public Snapchat viewer

Begin with the exact username or the public link you were sent. A username starts with the public Profile. A direct Highlight or Spotlight link helps you find a specific collection or post without first searching through the Profile's other content.

The online viewer works without connecting a Snapchat account. You can use it from a phone or computer, but the requested content must still be public.

  1. Paste a supported public link or enter a username, then select Find media.

  2. Check the display name and username to confirm that the intended public Profile was found.

Snapchat viewer FAQ

Which Snapchat links can I use?
Enter a public username, Profile URL, supported share link, Highlight link or Spotlight link. Some publisher Story links containing /p/ are also supported. Results may include public videos, photos and profile pictures, depending on what Snapchat currently makes available.
Do I need to sign in to Snapchat?
No. The tool works with public data and does not ask for Snapchat account credentials. It cannot use this access to open private content.
Can it recover private, deleted or expired media?
No. If an item is not publicly available, the tool cannot recover it. Private, removed and expired media remains unavailable.
Does the tool change quality or remove watermarks?
The tool does not add or remove watermarks, sharpen photos or increase video resolution. Existing marks remain. Most files download directly; some supported videos are first prepared as an MP4 in your browser. Preparing an MP4 does not create a higher-quality version.
How do multiple downloads work?
Selected items are saved as separate files, not a ZIP. Your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads. Videos that need preparation use temporary browser memory before saving; the site does not keep a hosted media archive. Check your browser's download list for saved files.
May I reuse the downloaded media?
Only when you have permission and a lawful reason to do so. Public availability does not transfer ownership or reuse rights.
Is this a private Snapchat account viewer?
No. It only works with information Snapchat makes public and cannot bypass privacy settings.
What is the difference between the viewer and downloader?
Viewing opens a video or photo on this website. Downloading saves a separate file to your device. You can do both with the tool: open a preview to look first, then select Download if you want a copy. The Snapchat Downloader guide explains saving one or several files.
Can I use the Snapchat viewer without an account?
Yes. The viewer does not ask you to sign in or connect Snapchat credentials. It can only show publicly available content, so no-account access does not provide a way around private Profile or friends-only settings.
Does no sign-in make this an anonymous Snapchat viewer?
No sign-in describes how this website works, not a guarantee about Snapchat activity or notifications. The site cannot verify what Snapchat records or how public requests may appear in Snapchat analytics.
Why did the viewer find a Profile but no Story or Spotlight posts?
The account may have no current public Story, may not publish Spotlight posts, or those posts may no longer be available. Check the other tabs separately. Profile details can still appear when a media tab has no items; that does not mean another search will reveal hidden posts.

Check a preview before saving a file

Click a media thumbnail to open a larger preview. Use the left and right arrows to inspect the nearby items, or close the preview and choose another thumbnail from the list. A video tries to play automatically. Your browser may start it muted or require you to press Play, so check the player controls if you cannot hear it. Photos remain still until you choose another item.

Check the Image or Video label as well as the thumbnail: a still cover on a video card is not a photo post. Available duration and resolution can help you identify a clip, but missing dimensions do not necessarily mean it will fail to play. If a preview cannot load, use View source to check the public Snapchat page. Select Download only when you want to save the file; browsing the previews does not add files to your Downloads folder.
